Our team celebrated IDEOF2019 in Madagascar with invited guests from the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Population, UNFPA, HJRA and Pavillon Saint Fleur.
All reiterated their desire to fight fistula and in particular their willingness to support the centres that care for women victims of fistula in Madagascar.
The event was followed by the testimonies of two patients who are already cured, one of whom had been treated at our fistula care centre and a presentation of 30 dignity kits provided by UNFPA, for the patients who had arrived for a fistula camp taking place that day.
We are so pleased fistula is receiving attention at government and local level and our focus on the day was the message 'fistula is a human rights violation, end it now'
