On the 7th day of Christmas, FFF shared with me…. A happy Kenyan story!

Over 19 years ago, Rahab was rushed to her nearest hospital. Like all expectant mothers, she hoped for a safe delivery however her delivery became obstructed and Rahab needed an urgent caesarean section. Happily, Rahab delivered a beautiful, healthy baby girl however when over a week later, Rahab was still leaking uncontrollably, she asked her doctors for help. They advised she would heal in time. Two weeks later, while still in the hospital, Rahab’s daughter developed complications and heartbreakingly she passed away. Rahab developed an infection in her wound and was confined to the hospital for a further three months. Rahab lost hope.

For 19 years she suffered with fistula, attempting to manage the issue by using sanitary pads. She was depressed, embarrassed and isolated…

When Rahab heard about FFF’s free fistula camp on her radio in June 2017, she did not waste a single minute. That camp changed Rahab’s life

"Now I am cured. I feel free to go anywhere any time. Those who used to isolate me are now ashamed because I have a better life than before. Thank you Freedom from Fistula for treating me”
