On the 11th day of Christmas, FFF shared with me… Cheer from Malawi!

Christmas in Malawi is a special day. Just like here in the UK, most Malawians go to church with their whole family, they cook rice and chicken and celebrate being together. In some areas there are dances in the afternoon where the whole community gather until the sun goes down.

We are delighted to report that the three ladies in our picture have all returned now to their families to celebrate. Ndadyilie, Joyce and Harriet were all recent visitors to our centre in Malawi. Joyce (on the right) came to the hospital in October having had fistula for over 30 years. It has truly transformed her life, she brought her dear friend Fryness (not pictured) with her who also had been suffering for quite some time and Joyce wouldn’t go home until they were both cured. Happily they are both now healthy and happy! Ndadyilie and Harriet both contracted fistula during their first pregnancies and thankfully did not have to suffer for too long.

Our services in Malawi are absolutely essential, no woman should have to go through the pain, isolation and anguish that these women have. Help us to get as many patients home with their families for Christmas as possible.

Are you excited to see our 12 days of Christmas stories? We have some great news! The Gloag Foundation has kindly agreed to match every dollar you donate throughout the 12 days campaign, so your donation will go even further this Christmas!
